MINISTRY AT OASIS

Ministering
to children is a primary focus at Oasis Church--in fact, we spend
more money on our children's ministries than on any other ministry
within our church.
Cindy
Mickan, our Director of Children's Ministries, has been ministering
to children for many years. Cindy and our children's ministry
team work extremely hard to help your children grow spiritually,
physically, and emotionally through this ministry. All children
are kept safely in a secured area, with required check-in and
check-out by parents or guardians only; also, only children's
ministry workers are allowed back into the childen's worship rooms,
for the safety of all of your kids.

There
are three basic areas in which Oasis ministers to children: Children's
Worship, Nursery, and Special Events (such as Vacation
Bible School and Fall
Festival).
Children's
Worship
(three years old through fifth grade)
At
Oasis, your children have their own worship service, designed
specifically for today's children. They learn together in age-appropriate
groups under the guidance of dedicated and trained adults who
have a passion for helping kids.
Children's
worship is held at the same time as our regular worship services,
every Sunday morning. So while you are in the auditorium worshipping
in our adult service, the children will be getting a tailor-made
worship experience which combines music, hands-on projects, child-oriented
devotionals, games, and videos that are designed to help your
children grow spiritually while at the same time being fun.
Bring
your children to a Children's worship service--you'll find that
not only do they learn about Jesus and how to be a better person,
but they will also have a blast and want to come back!
Nursery
(six weeks old through three years old)
The
nursery ministry at Oasis is not just baby-sitting. Our children's
team develops and utilizes teaching curriculums designed both
for infants and toddlers, to begin ministering to your children
at their very youngest learning levels. Every week, lessons are
prepared and our nursery team works to help your child get off
to a good start in learning truths from God's Word.
Our
nursery is divided into two groups, kept in separate rooms: Infants
(6 weeks old until walking) and Toddlers (walking until 3 years
old).

Special
Events
In
addition to our weekly worship ministries, our children's worship
team hosts several special events throughout the year, designed
to minister to our regular attendees as well as visitors from throughout
central Arkansas. Every year, our children and adults take part
in these special events, such as Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival,
Kite Days, and similar events. These are fun events that excite
kids while also introducing them to our church and--ultimately--to
Jesus Christ.
