Giving @ Oasis: Tithes and Offerings

Financial giving at Oasis falls into two categories: tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches that we worship the Lord with tithes: ten percent of our income, contributed regularly to the church. Giving more than ten percent is an offering.

Giving online benefits you and our church by:

• Faithfully honoring God: The Bible teaches that w're to honor God with the “first fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). Recurring contributions can be scheduled to be drafted or paid on any day you specify. By doing so, you ensure that your first fruits are faithfully given back to God, and He always blesses that kind of faith!
• Simplifying the giving process: Scheduling recurring tithes and offering means you don't have to remember to give every week, month, or quarter.
• Keeping your money secure: We administer our online giving program through an encrypted, secure website. Online giving is more secure than paying by check or cash: electronic gifts can’t be lost or stolen.  
• Letting you focus on other things: Instead of writing checks or filling out envelopes on Sunday morning, you can fully focus on worship, knowing you've already given your offering.
• Helping Oasis Church: In addition to financially supporting our ministry efforts, online gifts are less expensive to process and make our record-keeping easier.

Stewardship

The ministry of Oasis Church is funded by God's provision through the tithes and offerings of faithful Oasis members and attenders. We honor God's provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of Oasis remains beyond reproach.

Our mission is facilitated through a system of internal controls over financial reporting and our internal budgeting and reporting processes.

A Note About Credit Cards

While we allow the use of credit cards for tithes and offerings, we strongly encourage you to use electronic funds transfer rather for two reasons:

1. We don't want to play any part in our supporters going into debt or paying interest on gifts given to our church.
2. With electronic transfer, your entire gift goes to the church. When using a credit card, as much as 3% of your gift may go to the credit card company.

Online Giving Privacy Policies

Your information is held securely by the ACS Technologies Group, Inc. system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled.
